a really cool (expensive) clock

If you want to spend $400 on a really cool clock, we have just the thing! The notoriously cool Established & Sons have yet another cool-must-have-but-probably-can-never afford product. Check it out, it's called the "Two Timer Large" clock!

Update: Unica Home has the clock for $385!! Bust out those credit cards!!

a really cool recycled light

The editors here at CLI have been on the look out for a looong time in the hopes of finding a very unique ceiling light. Luckily, one of our interns came across a cool Canadian company (Castor Designs) that created this awesome "Recycled Tube Light" from recycled materials found at "architecturally significant buildings in Canada, such as the TD Tower designed by Mies van der Rohe, Toronto’s Old City Hall and University of Toronto." Very, very cool indeed. It seems $1,800 is a lot of money for a recycled light, but it's still not THAT bad compared other ceiling lights. They have a stand-up model for tables as well.

a really cool bed

Check out this awesome bed by Mieke Miejer. Called "Bed Blend" it is essentially a bed and chair combined into one. How genius. Not sure how much it costs, or even if it's commercially available, but if you are so inclined, inquire here:

Classic beauties

I love this really clever, cute and totally awesome chair by Enzo Mari (designed in the 1970s). I'm not sure if it's still in production (seems it was reissued by Aleph in 1995), but the cool thing about this Box Chair is that its designed to ship in one small box. They don't make things like they used to!

Must do more research on Enzo, an Italian genius!

Something cool from the old country*

I just learned of a great British designer called Oscar Narud. He is very cool. In particular, I like his use of everyday, mundane objects to create new functional items for a home (or an office or whatever). I'm a fan of his Keel Table and Stool. (Also, check out his "Hoist" apparatus on his website).

*When I say "old country," I refer to Great Britain, which is not to be mistaken from my native homeland of Mexico.

another cool place to hang your coat

I just discovered this awesome coat rack by Seletti (an Italian design company) called Harakiri. (By the way, Harakiri means ritual suicide in Japanese...) I'm not sure if Seletti is the designer, or just the manufacturer. It would help if I spoke Italian, but it's still cool regardless!

This is the only place I could find it available for around $256. A bit pricey, but the natural wood seems to be of good quality. http://www.decosphair.com/contenu/,se_meubler,porte_manteau_harakiri_seletti,0?idP=57634060&idRub=715

w.o.w.z.e.r.s.

A cool Dutch furniture company called Moooi worked with Welsh designers Fresh West lamp to create this Brave New World lamp. It is soo beautiful I just can't imagine having enough words to describe its majestic brilliance.
